Hi doctor I had a really bad chocking esp on sat evening food got stuck in my windpipe nothing would go up or down not even water I couldn t breath talk or cough it didn t last long (thank god really scary) til was sick and it cleared but now my windpipe is sore is there anything I can do Thank you Norma

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.
Noted your history of food getting choked in the wind-pipe which got removed but the wind pipe is now sore.
I would advise you the following:
Bronchoscopy
CT scan of the chest
tests of blood and urine
Pulmonary function tests
Consultation of ENT Surgeon or Pulmonologist
Proper antibiotic course along with anti-inflammatory medicines.
Steam inhalation.
Chest physiotherapy
This should solve your problems.
