Suggest Treatment For Frequent Bouts Of Diarrhea

I became overheated after attending an outdoor wedding last Friday. After that time I began to have frequent bouts of diarrhea.I have continued to feel nauseous off and on, and I have diarrhea after I eat.I am wondering if this is still due to being overheated?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

It seems to be an acute attack of gastroenteritis, and taking soft diet, may be helpful alongside keeping good hydration and oral rehydration salts intake to ensure to compensate for lost water and electrolytes. Antibiotics like ciprofloxacin and metronidazole may be needed along with OTC analgesics like acetaminophen as well as anti spasmodic like Drotaverine.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin, General & Family Physician
