Suggest Treatment For Frequent Asthma Attacks

My asthma is controlled to the point that i am a cross country runner, but lately i have been feeling like i have been having mini asthma attacks all the time. It s so bad that my control inhaler is not helping, like i need to take my rescue five times a day two puffs each time, and i works for a little but my symptoms returns in a few minutes. Im super worried because i went from running miles by only take my control inhaler to not even being able to walk up a flight of steps without being, i have been using the machine and it stills as though my symptoms are unchanged and i never had to use the machine or rescue inhaler

Hello,

I will suggest you to uptitrate your medicines. Which you have not mentioned, meanwhile, you need to look for cause. Is there any abrupt major change in temperature or weather? Is there a fever or infection? Is there any flu like symptoms? Have you shifted your house to a new location? Is there any allergy to pollen or any dust in your area? I hope you know the proper inhaler technique. Are you compliant to your drugs? If you can't find a cause, the answer will be to compare your PEF with your best and if low then increase your medicine or uptitrate.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
