Suggest Treatment For Fractured Foot

Yesterday morning in a soccer game my foot cracked. It hurt just a little bit, but i played the rest of the game and other activites after that. (Left foot) It hurts alot today but there is no bruising or swelling. No sign of a break but a large crack(sound) I havent told anyone yet, and I was thinking of going to Urgent Care should I? Do you think it is a fracture or break? P s i am 13 years old

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

In your age bone are more pliable and instead of complete breaking sometime they bend. Looking at your mode of injury, I shall advise you to go to urgent care and at least have an X-ray to rule out a green stick fracture at your foot bone. Till then you may apply an ace bandage at your foot and keep it elevated on pillow.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
