Suggest Treatment For Fractured Coccyx

I took a hard fall mid July and went to an ER. After X-rays I was told I had a fractured coccyx. I was later told it wasn t fractured, had an MRI to see if I had a ruptured disc. No to that, but I did have 1 epidural injection and all the while have been in severe pain. I hurt when I sit, stand, lie down, and walk and have been taking Percocet and Ibuprofen this whole time. Swelling is horrible in my lumbar and down my left leg into my ankle. Went to ER yesterday for pain and had a Toradol injection which made me feel great!! What is wrong with me? I need answers please!

After going through your query I concluded that you are having coccyxdynia. It occurred due to injury of the coccyx. Its treatment is hot sits bath and analgesic such as ibuprofen. If pain relief is not by this then strong analgesic such as tramadol can be used. Avoid sitting on hard objects. Use soft cushions for sleeping and sitting. You can discuss your doctor about it.
