Suggest Treatment For Fracture On Foot

I fractured my 5th metatarsal 9 1/2 weeks ago. Last week I had my doctor appointment at the orthopaedic and the xray and it shows the fracture is still there. he told me to stay off my foot and put weight on it a bit at a time every day. I want to know if it is normal for the following things I am feeling:after the cast was removed there is alot of pain all over my foot and where the foot and ankle bend, bruising at the part it bends and atop my foot from there, sharp pain from the fracture going up through the side of my calf, sharp/burning pains at the top of my foot where it is bruised and also the right side of the foot and pain in the heel. Please advise me if I should see another doctor and if this is normal.

Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. It is not normal to get a fracture not getting consolidated even after 9 and half weeks after casting and immobilization. It can be due to going out of reduction of fracture while in cast.If you send a picture of X ray i can comment on it more. For such case i advise open reduction with plate or screws preferably after minimal osteotomy or trepanation in bone edges of fracture.Orthopedic surgeons doing osteosynthesis surgeries can help you better.Hope this may help you.
Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
