Suggest Treatment For Food Poisoning

I ate 2 pieces of lemon flavored cake and I started to get really severe hot flashes, body started to itch, eyes turned red, and my throat started to close. When I drink lemonade, my throat gets tighter. This hasn't always happend to me. Do you think I developed an allergy? (I took 2 benadrayl pills afterwards and felt better) (25mg)

Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to food allergy.

I recommend using antihistamines such as Levocetirizine.

If you feel breathing difficulties you should take steroid shots which are given on prescription by your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
