Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
What are having is old healed tuberculosis.
Pulmonary tuberculosis -most often heals by fibrosis and calcification. Fibrosis is a sequel.
However there remains a risk of reactivation of old healed lesion.
The factors causing break-down of previously healed lesions are:
Malnutrition
Alcoholism
Poorly controlled diabetes mellitus
Silicosis
Immuno-suppression (by disease or drugs)
Post-gastrectomy and jejunoileal bypass surgery
Chronic hemodialysis

Regards
