Suggest Treatment For Fever

what is the dosage of MEFTAL-P, MY SON IS SUFFERING FROM FEVER SINCE SATURDAY. CROSIN
TABLET DOES NOT GIVING HIM EFFECT. DOCTOR HAS STARTED ANTIBITICS AND MALERIA TABLET.
TWO DOSAGE OF ANTIBITICS AND ONE DOSE OF MALERIA HE HAS TAKEN.. I HAVE GIVEN HIM CROCIN
AT 1.00 A.M. THEN AGAIN I HAVE GIVEN COMBIFLAM AT 5.30 SA.M. THAT AFTER FOUR HOURS. 7.5ML..
HE IS SUFFERING FROM HEAVY COLD AND THORAT IRRITATION. IS MEFTAL P IS USEFUL FOR FEVER, WHAT IS DOSAGE FOR HIM HIS WEIGHT IS 40 KG. HE IS 15 YEARS OF AGE.. AND AFTER WHAT HOURS THIS MEDIICINE WILL BE REPEATED? PLEASE ADVICE. OR SUGGEST ANOTHER TABLET FOR FEVER?

Let me explain about the drugs which you are giving your son.
Crocin is paracetamol ( anti pyretic or for fever ) , combiflame is ibuprofen + paracetamol ) .
Meftal P is mefeanic acid tablet and its dose is 25 mg / kg body weight in divided dosage ( two or three times in day ) .
Mainly ( mefanic acid ) is used in Rheumatoid arthritis , moderate to severe pain, osteoarhritis . Few doctors also use it in fever .
As you mentioned that your son is having fever with sore throat and cold , so when such type of patient visit in my clinic I advise them to take LEVOFLOXACIN 15 mg / kg body weight tablet once in day after meal for 5- 7 days .
I also advise my patient to take local anti septic lonzges for sore throat.
Please get in blood for C B C, E S R , Widal test ( typhoid fever).
Since this is a prescription medicine so consult a physician and get his opinion.
