General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

The presence of fever in the case of prostatitis indicate residual infection or inflammation in the urinary system.

My guidelines at present
- drink more liquids
- analgesic as paracetamol
- get urine culture in lab and prescription of further antibiotics in accordance to that to avoid drug resistance and getting best early outcome.
- Simultaneous intake of urinary alkaliser as renalka or citro soda, vitamin C chewable supplements will help.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
