Suggest Treatment For Fever, Tiredness, Cold Hands And Feet

Hi my son is months old, has a fever of 102 to 104. His feet and hands are very cold. He is very fuzzy and very tired. He does not have any other symptoms of cold of flu. What can it possibly be, a pediatrician informed me over the phone his teeth would not cause such high fevers.

High fever along with cold extremities with lethergy in a young child of less than 1yr is treated as danger signs. There may be a chance of septicemic shock or meningitis. These are the early symptoms of neonatal meningitis which needs urgent medical attentions.
Keep the baby properly breast fed and closely monitor if any abnormal behaviour noticed. At the same time its recommended to take him to nearest hospital immediately to rule out the danger possibilities. Though it may be due to benign causes and may respond in home basic treatments.
