Suggest Treatment For Fever, Increased Thirst And Urge To Urinate In A Child

I have a 4yr old nephew who has having increased thirst, urgency to urinate, low grade fever, they have checked him for a UTI by checking a urine sample, and they did blood work. Everything came back ok. It is consuming his life and his parents. All he does is run to the bathroom. I mean like 10 times a hour. If he even takes a drink of water he runs to the bath room. Sometimes he urinates, other times none or just a dribble but the urgency is over whelming. He has had a couple of accidents in day care and at home but its usually when his busy playing and just holds it to long. But this latest problem started after those incidents. The Dr. Just dismissed it yesterday as being all in his head just after doing those two test. This child is has never had any issues before and like i said its consuming his life and his family s because all he says is i have to pee, please give me some idea what other things could be causing this either physical or mental.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

To exclude any possible physical problem I suggest to do sonography of the urinary tract and glucose in the blood. If everything is in ordnung, you should see a psychologist clear the possible emotional problems that may have been affecting the child.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
