I have a cough, congestion, and a fever of 100.8. I cough up mucus which is colorless or green from chest. I am drinking fluids, taking decongestants, inhalingsteam with Vicks, and taking aspirin. I m just worried about the fever. Is it normal in this situation? T.hanks.

Hello
Welcome to Health care Magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that you are having fever, cough, cold and chest congestion.

My response to your question is as follows.

These symptoms indicate respiratory tract infection. Since you are coughing out sputum, this indicates chest infection.
This requires treatment by the use of antibiotics along with anticold drugs, decongestant drugs.

Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Hope this information is helpful to you.
Do write back to me for any further questions and I will be happy to answer and assist you.

Thank you
With regards
