General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Your problem can be most likely due to bacterial respiratory tract infection. Broad spectrum antibiotics like Co-amoxiclav will be needed. I would also suggest bronchodilators like salbutamol or terbutaline along with mucolytic expectorants like ambroxol. Co amoxiclav is a prescription antibiotic given in dosage of 625 mg twice daily for 5 to 7 days. Take warm fluids like tea with lemon, warm chicken soup with pepper etc. Taking chewable vitamin C is also good.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
