Suggest Treatment For Fever, Body Aches And Sore Throat
My daughter had symptoms that started out like a possible case of strep throst . she tested negative for strep and mono. A few days later noticed genital sores which became worse with very painful urination and bloating in her pelvic area. She has been tested for herpes and a many other std s with all results coming bak negative. The throat sores and swelling cleared up within a week with the genital sores taking about 2 weeks to clear. It all started with a low fever, body aches, head ache, sore throat, chills and sweats. What could it be ?

Hello,
Yeast infections when left untreated can cause rash, blisters or sores. She can apply anti fungal creams like Clotrimazole and take a course of oral anti-fungals (fluconazole) if the topical ointment are slow to work.
Your daughter is suggested to maintain genital hygiene at all cost. She should take regluar shower & change clothes, wear loose fitting cotton clothes.
If sexually active with multile partners she is suggested to get a repeat STD test done to stay on the safer side. If reports come positive, no worries, she'll be treated with antivirals / antibiotics.
For the other symptoms like fever, body ache, etc. let her get clinically examined by a GP & do CBC, Urinalysis, Widal test done. Her treatment will depend on her clinical condition & the reports obtained.
