Pediatrician, Hematology Oncology 's  Response
hi,
the problem needs a thorough evaluation for your kid. for immediate treatment let your doctor start antibiotics along with anti fever medication. a CBC with peripheral smear will be required to see the status of blood cells. the drop in neutrophil count might be just due to infection as well. but i would suggest basic investigation and close follow up till it resolve. donot take steroid for joint pain, unless its mandatory. then also ,after bone marrow test only.
