Suggest Treatment For Fever And Bruises On The Leg
I have a scratch on my right leg surrounded by a bruise. I noticed it when my right knee started hurting me. Then the pain spread to my ankle and now it is in the groin and buttock area and the knee still hurts. The knee needs a knee replacement but I have put it off because I have Hep C. The hep c I got from a blood transfusion in the 70 s but went in remission. About 12 years ago it came back. I did the solvaldi and Oyliso and am now showing no virus. I finished in November 2014. iback to my leg. I have been in bed 4 days, Last Saturday the pain was so bad I was screaming. I WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AND THEY GAVE ME A COUPLE SHOTS. THEY SENT ME HOME WITH OXYICODONE WITH TYLENOL. YESTERDAY I NOTICED TWO MORE BURISES IN A LINE WITH HE SCRATCH AND BRUISE ON MY RIGHT LEG. tODAY I WENT TO THE ORTHOPEDIC CLINIC AND THEY GAVE ME A SHOT IN THE KNEE AND WE NOTICE A RASH ON THE KNEE. I NOW HAVE THREE RASHES IN A TRAIL UP MY LEG. tHEY TOOK XRAYS OF MY BACK AND LEG AND FOUND NOTHING. tHEY SENT ME HOME TO REST. wHILE AT THE DOCTOR S OFFICE I THREW UP. I ALSO WAS RUNNING A FEVER. MILD FEVER. UPON COMING HOME I STARTED TO THINK THIS MAY BE A SCRATCH FROM OUR VERY ACTIVE DOG AND PERHAPS I HAVE AN INFECTION. aLL I KNOW IS THAT THE PAIN CAN BE TERRIBLE AND IT IS LOCATED MOSTLY IN THE AREA OF THE GROIN ON THE RIGHT LEG. ANY SUGGESTIONS? t

Hi, Unexplained bruising once in while is understandable but if occurs frequently should be investigated thoroughly since it can indicate an underlying medical condition or ailment. it has been observed that bruises are often observed more on women than men. Women often complain of bruising on legs, thighs, buttocks and upper arms. Thinner people are more prone to bruising as they lack the fat cushion that helps prevent injury. It may also be due to deficiency of vitamin C, vitamin B12, folic acid and vitamin K. Many times taking medications like aspirin, ibuprofen, non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, and even birth control pills increases chances of sudden bruising. Topical and systemic corticosteroids cause skin thinning, making one prone to bruises. Many a time bruising can be caused due to liver ailments, kidney diseases and blood disorder.
