I have been digonosed with euthyroid MNG.FNAC suggests least chances for malignancy.Largest nodule is 6*4.8*4 cm on right lobe. The ENT surgeon suggested lobectomy. But an endocrino surgeon has suggested complete removal of the thyroid.Pl give a third opinion.
Hello and thank you for asking. I have gone carefully through your concern. I would suggest also total thyroidectomy, even if the nodule is not malignant, there is a great probability for the other lobe to develop nodule in the future, so you will need a second surgery than. That is why we recommend total thyroidectomy if malignancy is not suspected. Hope i have been helpful. Kind regards, Dr,Mirjeta
