Suggest Treatment For Episodes Of Productive Cough

Hi my mother is 48 years old known hypertensive diagnosed with allergic asthama around 10 years back but now aggrevated with pasage of time productive cough especially at night time she took salnon and flixotide inhalers but her cough do not subsided n in morning it is severe she also took tab deltacortil 2 months back her routine lab test are normal n chest xray is also normal what should I do for episodes of productive cough.....

Thanks for your question on HCM.
Since your mother is hypertensive and asthmatic, there are two possibilities for night time coughing in her case.
1. Acute left Ventricular failure (LVF)
2. Asthma exacerbation.
So get done 2D Echo to know her left Ventricular Ejection Fraction ( LVEF). If it is low than this is the cause for her symptoms.
If this is normal than get done PFT ( Pulmonary Function Test ). If worsening Obstructive defect on PFT, than possibility of asthma exacerbation is more.
So consult your doctor and discuss these possibilities with him.
Also discuss about starting anti allergic plus antihistamine combination in night. It will give her more relief.
