Suggest Treatment For Endometriosis

Hi I am 24 and have been taking the pill for 7 years for severe period pain. The pain was reduced significantly but I still needed some pain relief plus hot water bottle.About 5 months ago I went to see a Gynacologist as the pain was not being controlled as well even with quite strong painkillers. She advised that I may have endometriosis but it was decided not to do a laproscopic investigation because of my age and the number of younger women who represent to her within 12 months of an investigation with severe pain again. She suggested that I back-to-back the Pill which would prevent bleeding and therefore prevent pain. She suggested that I stop when I had a break through bleed then wait until I had one period before starting the back-to-back again. I did this with 6 packs and all seemed ok. I began the back to back again and 5 days after starting my 3rd pack I started some spotting and minor pain. That was one week ago and i still have some pain(controlled with paracetemol) and bleeding is a little heavier. I have an appointment with the Gynie in 3 weeks but want to know if I should stop the Pill or keep on it until I see her? Many thanks, Corinne

Hi dear, I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. You should continue the pills till you consult your doctor, as stopping pills in between can lead to pain and bleeding, which is not desirable.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
