Suggest Treatment For Elevated Alt, Monocytes And Eos In Blood

My son s bloodwork is showing Monocytes and Eos elevated. Hematocrit low and ALT elevated. He is 11 and a little overweight, on seroquel, quanfacine and wellbutrin. He is a cancer survivor with one kidney. I have calls in to his docs but it s a holiday and just would like some insight.

Geriatrics Specialist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. His hematocrit is low due to anemia.
2. Mild elevation in eosinophil and monocyte could be due to environmental allergens or parasites.
3. Stool examination and a IgE antibodies estimation could be helpful.
4. Needs to improve his diet. Continue the medications regularly. Diet should be protein rich with good vitamin supplements.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
I find this answer helpful
