Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My 11-month-old granddaughter has a history of eczema. She has flare ups on a daily basis. We have taken her to numerous physicians who have recommended various topical and oral steroids. The latest is desonide .05 which caused her buttocks to break out in what looks like acne with small pustules. We have applied calamine lotion and have removed her diaper. We ve tried oatmeal baths and give her benadryl on a daily basis. Everything causes severe dryness and irritation. She gets very little sleep due to discomfort. She is still on breastmilk.
I think she can have sudocream to put on irritation zone. This will help her dry the skin and help healing. I can recommend you to keep her mostly without a dipper and also use talk to dry skin.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
