Suggest Treatment For Ear Pain

I started having ear pain 4 nights ago. I woke up the next morning with alot of pain so I went to the local walk in clinic. They said it was an outer ear infection and prescribed me eardrops wich I used all day and throughout that night. The next day I got up with my face, ear and neck swolen with acute ear pain (stabbing pain). I went back to the clinic where they toold me that my ear canal was so swoollen that the drops weren t qorking and prescribed me prednisone and augmentin and told me that it should feel better in a day or two. It still is swollen shut and not seeming to get better. I am 50 years old, have type 1 diabetes, vitiligo and phases of psoriasis in my ear and body.

Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having acute otitis externa producing all symptoms.
Continue with antibiotic medicine.
Take some anti-inflammatory medicine like ibuprofen with paracetamol for pain and swelling.
continue putting ear drops.
Ok and take care.
