Suggest Treatment For Ear Infection
I have been diagnosed with an ear infection. I was prescribed Bactrim DS, on the second day of the Bactrim a loud constant roaring appeared in the infected ear, i looked up side effects on the internet and have read that the drug can cause permanent Tinnitus, i am really worried it won t go away, is this possible after 2 days on the drug?

Depending upon the dosage you took, plus how many times per day you were prescribed to injest the medication, the possibility of this medicine being the sole-cause of the ringing sounds unlikely. The severity of the ear-infection, and how you contracted the infection would tell me more about your specific situations and needs.
If the ear was cause infection due to swimmer's ear, and or water penetrating the canal, this will cause loud piercing pain and ringing in the ear with the infection. Even without medication, I think you will be better off continuing your regimend until you can speak directly with your prescribing physician about your concerns.
Side affects are usually rare, and in a case like this, I wouldn't suggest risking your ear's path to getting better.
