Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi. Desoximethasone is a steroid and NO STEROID SHOULD BE USED FOR A PROLONGED TIME , uness it is supervised by Dermatologist. This steroid cream would help initially, but would cause dryness on long term use as its happening in your case. I suggest you stop is altogether. Use a good moisturizer like dewsoft cream frequently for couple of days. Meanwhile stop facewash/soap or change to a syndet based one like cetaphil or episoft cleansing lotion. Also, dont wash skin frequently. Continue it for couple of days to allow complete healing of damaged skin. Hope it helps.
