Suggest Treatment For Dry Nose After Cauterization
I had my nose cauterized today and received no special after instructions. Its was very painful and runny all day. Right now I took some Hydrocodone and I feel its very dry inside which feels much better then the runny nose. Should I leave it alone or put vaseline or Neosporin ointment in there? Dr did not say anything and jus t did the procedure.
Hi. Thanks for your information about cauterization, taking hydrocodone and the dryness that caused to make you feel better. Yes, you can certainly apply Neosporine eye ointment very lightly without rubbing. Eye ointment as it is mild and you are applying to the nasal mucosa. Do not fondle the area as it can cause bleeding. It takes about 3-7 days for healing. Get a review done by the Doctor who did cauterization
Take care.
