Suggest Treatment For Dry Eyes

I occasionally suffer from dry eyes, especially in the spring. Tonight I noticed what I thought was just some whitish discharge, but it was actually attached to the inside of my upper lid. With much effort I was able to flip my eyelid up and notice a very small patch of peeling area My eyes are not red, not drying during the day, this usually occurs at night. No vision changes or pain. What are your thoughts?

Hello,

Dry eyes are commonly caused by allergic eye disease, ageing, vitamin A deficiency, thyroid disorder, conjunctivitis, etc. You are suggested to get your eyes clinically examined by an Eye specialist to detect any major pathology causing you discomfort. You will be treated & managed accordingly (with medicines, glasses / lenses or surgery if required). In the meantime you can apply Itone eye drop, 2-3 drops 3-4 times a day. Your treating doctor may give you a course of tear stimulating medicines.
