Hello and welcome to HCM,
Dry cough is generally not due to infection.
Initially, it is important to suppress the cough.
Cough can be suppressed by cough suppressants.
Antibiotic does not have any role in dry cough.

Thanks and take care

Hello Mohemmed
Since you are having dry cough from last 10 days . Also there is chest pain and even after 10 days treatment you didn't got relief.
Usually such type of dry cough may be due to asthmatic allergic bronchitis , when such case visit I prescribe them to take MONTELUKAST+BAMBUTEROL one or two tablet in days .
Since dry cough is usually caused by some allergen , so no need of any antibiotics.
Also take dextromethorphan+chlorpheniramine maleat+ guiaphenesin syrup .
Hope this will help you.
Hot coffee and steam inhalation also provide relief.
Good luck.
