Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that you are suffering from a viral infection known as Oral Herpes caused be
HERPES SIMPLEX VIRUS 1 leading to formation of cold sores which are small
fluid filled blisters.
The chapped lip along with blackish discolouration can occur due to inflammation and leading to inflammatory
hyperpigmentation..
You should
consult a dermatologist and get evaluated and get viral culture and sensitivity testing done, Other investigations like Polymerase Chain Reaction etc can also be done..
In case if herpes is confirmed oral and topical antiviral therapy like Acyclovir therapy can be prescribed to you by the dermatologist to reduce the duration of present infection and get prevent further outbreaks..
Once the sores are healed you can apply
Kojic acid containing creams [Kojivit] and other natural products like aloevera gel for lightening the colour of lips and reducing chapping..
Scrubbing the lips with a mild scrub twice a week can help..
Do cold packs over the lips..
Apply thick coat or Petroleum jelly over the lips as it helps in lubricating the lips and locking of moisture..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards..
