General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Sexual activity should be avoided during treatment for chlamydia. If you had sexual activity in that period then you and your partner should go for treatment again. Azithromycin as single dose or doxycycline twice daily for 1 week can be taken as treatment. If you having pelvic and abdominal pain then it is better to have a pelvic examination by gynecologist and an ultrasound to rule out pelvic inflammatory disease also.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
