Suggest Treatment For Dilated Cardiomyopathy And Severe LV Dysfunction

Dilated Cardiomyopathy with severe LV dysfunction, normal epicardial coronaries - Dear Doctor, I am writing this question with huge hope to have a positive reply from you. My brother is under treatment for dilated cardiomyopathy for about 6 months. Recently we have undergone a Echo test and doctor said no improvement seen even after 6 months of medication. He is diabetic too and taking insulin continuously. We are very much worried about his life and his dependents. The conclusion in the recent Echo report says: Dilated Cardiomyopathy, Severe LV dysfunction, Normal epicardial coronaries Our family is in need of some valuable suggestions, treatment options, do's and dont's. Please help me if you know any alternative treatment too. Expecting all your suggestions at the earliest. Thanks in advance. Regards, Murugesh Chandran, 0000, New Delhi, India

Treatment for DCMP varies patient to patient. But generally DCMP treated with ACEI, beta blockers, diuretics. Your patient adviced to take less fluid. If ECG shows LBBB and ECHO S/O dyssynchrony than BIVENT pacing will improve symptom.
