I have a growth (nodule?) in the left side of my throat. It has been there for years and has grown larger over time. It has been scanned at least three times. Each time I am told that it is harmless. It has never been painful. Recently it has interfering with my swallowing. It can been moved by my finger just a bit in a small area. I am concerned about it now because of the swallowing. What could it be and what type of doctor should I consult?
I had gone through your question I can understand your concern.
It can be a mucoceal, if it increases or decrease in size before and after taking food. It can also be cystic lesion which is harmless and no need to be exised.
Now as per your history it is interfering with your swallowing process, it needs to be removed by an ENT spacialist.
Hope my answer will help you and you can write us back if you have any further questions to he answered.
