Suggest Treatment For Difficulty In Speech

I met someone who is able to think and communicate through writing and typing and is very smart. They can speak but it is not always comprehendable. They struggle with forming the words in their head and saying them but have no problem writing and typing. Is this called something and is there a cure or treatment options?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

This situation could be related to Broca Aphasia. In such case, a brain MRI is necessary. A logopedist can help improve his speech. Does he listen normally? Sometimes, the person that can not talk, may also be deaf, and read your lips. In such case, there is no remedy to the problem.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
