Suggest Treatment For Difficulty Breathing, Cold And Heavy Mucus In Throat

yes I have had a reallty bad cold with heavy musus (which is in the back of my mouth) and very thick and can could not get it up to spit out.... also coughing really a lot.... and hard time breathing, I went to the PA yesterday and she wrote it up as acute brocitis... gave me 2 perscriptions... 1 is for possible infection, take 2 the 1st day the 1 a day for 4 days.... the other i take 4 the 1st & 2nd day, then 3 pills for day 3&4 then 2 pills for day 5&6 then 1 pill for 2 days.. ok... I am having a really hard time breathing.. I called her and asked if she would maybe call in a (oh I for what you call it, but you put it in your mouth and it opens up you passageway..... she said no... I am going for a check x-ray in the morning.. so I guess my question is .... ya think she is telling me right.. as she relayed that If I am having a hard time breathing to go to the hospital... finished..

I think you are right. You require an inhaler for sometime if the cough is bad.
Also as your problem is post nasal drip tricling down your throat and causing you a lot of cough, it will be wise to start a montelukast tablet like MONTAIR-LC 10 mg at night.
Take steam inhalations daily for 5 days three times regularly.
Drink plenty o0f water and have bath with warm water.
Avoid preserved and canned items.
