Suggest Treatment For Difficulty Breathing And Feeling Of Something Stuck In Throat

Hello my husband was sleeping when he was awaken by a cough following an episode of difficulty breathing. Then went to vomiting blood. While he was vomiting he felt like he was choking because he felt like something was stuck in his throat. His voice changed immediately. He is complaining of pain with swallowing difficulty breathing and feeling something is stuck in his throat. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Pathologist and Microbiologist 's  Response
Hello,

I suggest you to consult an ENT specialist followed by a gastroenterologist at the earliest. Difficulty in swallowing, feeling of something stuck in throat along with change in voice can all be due to disorder in respiratory or gastrointestinal tract.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
