Hi,I am Dr. Subhankar Chakraborty (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I had a bad night Thurs with painful diarrhea for 7 hours then I started vomiting for 3 hours. Went to er, had scan which showed no blockage or no divericulitis. They gave me an iv for hydration and nausea medicine.I m now spurting a gold-colored, greasy looking liquid with no warning. The pain started just below my waist and moved higher & wider when I started vomiting.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of diarrhea which seems to be due to disturbance of electrolytic balance of body. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like food intolerance , food allergy , bacterial or viral infection , parasitic infection or inflammatory bowel disease. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like ornidazole, albendazole, omeprazole along with loperamide. You should take small quantity of food and avoid large intake at a single time. Take oral rehydrating solution as well. You should eat light and non spicy , eat fresh fruits and vegetables and eat fruits like banana
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
