Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea

i have been a bit light headed the last couple of days. i have had a bad bout of diarrhea, it started lunch time saturday and has only gotten better today. im on medication to stop the diarrhea and the cramps. while i was sick all i could do was drink water cause nothing else sat well.

Hello,

You have not mentioned you are on which medication. If it is not infective diarrhea than only antidiarrheal medication is prescribed (means absent of fever, blood or mucus in stool). You can be prescribed Racecadotril like antisecretory drug. Drink more water to maintain hydration and take ORS also to replenish lost electrolyte (dehydration can lead headache). If no improvement, stool examination can be done.
