Lips are white! how much longer should we wait til we take her in to the ER--
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history and understood the concerns. When a 4 year old patient gets more than 105.2 F temperature, this is an emergency as it can cause febrile convulsion in a child hence take her immediately to the ER and while on way give sold sponging to the whole body, the temperature has to come down at any cost. Continue Advil as per the dosage schedule. Needs detailed clinical evaluation, examination and investigation of blood, urine, stool, X-ray of the chest, Ultrasonography and Blood culture and sensitivity that helps later on getting the report which takes a few days. May need Hospitalization, intravenous fluids, antibiotics, supportive and symptomatic treatment.
