Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea , Body Pain And Fever

I just went camping with my family a few days ago and My husband and I started experienceing some symptoms about 24 hours after we got back. Fever (103.7 for me and 101 for him), body aches, and diarrhea. The fever and body aches have subsided after 24 hours but now there is still the diarrhea. My daughter was with us but she does not have it. So i do not believe it was food poisoning. I don t have health insurance so i m not wanting to rush to an Urgent Care Facility. Is this something I should be concerned with?

Hello! Thanks for putting your query in HCM. Iam Dr.Amit Jain (DM, Gastroenterologist). It appears that you have developed acute infectious enteritis. I will advise you to get your stool examination and complete haemogram for confirmation. Meanwhile take a course of antibiotic like ofloxacin and ornidazole which I found very useful in my patients.
