Hi,

Pediatric diarrhea is usually a sequence of viral infection within intestine. The particular care to be taken for early recovery are:
- Maintain hydration with plenty of liquids as boiled water, lemon juice, coconut water, butter milk
- Check regularly for urine output and play fullness of the child
- Soft palatable diet
- Avoidance of commercial stuffs as ice cream, dairy products
- Hand and oral hygiene of the child
- Addition of zinc syrup to the current medicine regimen after discussion with his pediatrician.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
