Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea And Stomach Pain

I am 27 and I am an English teacher in Myanmar. I had bad stomach pain for maybe 3 days accompanied with diarrhea. Then my anus area got very itchy then irritated (I couldn t sit, walk, anything.) for 5 days..fissures maybe. I then took 1 500 mg mebendazole thinking it was parasites. My stool got bubbly and burny for a few days. Then cooled down for a week or so. Then I started having blood drip after bowel movements, which caused a little pain after especially while sitting. I felt hemorrhoid-like lumps protruding after while I cleaned with shower hose. I have been feeling a little dizzy and some chest pain. Some anxiety I felt like. I then took another mebendazole 2 weeks after the first one yesterday, because I read to do that. Now I m back to burning bubbly, fuzzy lookinh bowel movements again. The hemorrhoid-like things inside are still there and come out a little. The area seems swollen. I m urinating a lot. The doctors are incredibly unreliable. Do I just have hemorrhoids?

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are having symptoms of diarrhea and stomach pain which seems to be due to electrolyte imbalance, food poisoning and could be due to irritable bowel syndrome.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist once for proper examination. Doctor may order stool test, ultrasound , endoscopy along with that take history. Doctor may prescribe laxative , ornidazole or albendazole along with ranitidine. You should eat light and non spicy food and avoid food like seafood and nuts. You should take antacid after every meal and keep your head elevated while lying down. Ciplox TZ along with meftal spas is the right medication combination for you.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
