Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea And Flatulence

I passed something {stool] that looked like a pea, only it was red throughout. This coming off of nearly 10 days of diarrhea. The last couple of days, I have returned to nearly normal, albeit with a bit more gas. Was this a polyp? I have never had a colonoscopy. Thanks.

Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns. You have recently had diarrhea and within your stool you noticed a small red pea. I am not exactly sure what that would be without having it tested. It could be just a collection of mucus or blood or even a polyp. If you have not had a colonoscopy and you are older than 50 years old then I recommend you have a colonoscopy.
