Suggest Treatment For Diabetes

Hello I am 38 years old healthy man, yesterday I had a insect bite, was advised for some anti-allergic medicines and steroids. After a day of medication I checked my Blood Sugar levels as advised by the doctor while prescribing medicines. I was a bit suprised to have been detected diabetic, the BS Count for Fasting was 155. Since then I have become a bit strict on my diet and food routines. Please advise me to what should I do further to take a complete control of the current situation and get rid of the ailment permanently. Regards, P Kumar

Fasting blood sugar levels more than 126mg/dl usually signifies diabetes. Blood sugar may rise temporarily sometimes when you had infection or stress or with some medications, but it definitely indicate that you have impaired mechanisms to control blood sugar. My advice to you is -
1.kindlu repeat FBS, PP2BS AND HBA1c report..
HBA1c more than 6.5% confirms diabetes, because it is actually 3 month average report.
2 . once diabetes occurs usually it's not permanently curable, only we can control the disease.
3.In diet- reduce all forms of sugar. Control icecreams, rise, mango, banana. Etc. Eat more vegetables.
4 . consult an endocrinologist for diabetes management and ask him about all I have suggested to you..
