Suggest Treatment For Diabetes

I had fasting suger 145 and post meal suger 172. I am taking metformin 500 mg and onglyza 5 mg(DPP-4 inhibitor). Onglyza is expensive. Can I switch over to some other combination like glimperide & metformin combination. My sugger level is now 113(fasting) and 135(PP).Kindly advise.

Dear sir i can understand your concerns
in my opinion the combination of medications what you are on are very good medications.
this group of medications are called dpp 4 inhibitors will help in recovery and long lasting protective effect to pancreas by avoiding excessive stimulation of pancreas.
i suggest you to take alternative medications like galvus and januvia which are not expensive as onglyza but will show similar effect.
i need to know about your height and weight for further discussion.
i suggest you to meet your doc for dosage details.
