Suggest treatment for diabetes and low BP

My daughter, 46, just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, has experienced low BP (95/60) since her diagnosis. She takes Aciphex 2xday, birth control (10 yrs.), Metformin 500mg. 2xday and inhaler for asthma. This is a big change for her. Usually 145/90 at docs office. Any ideas?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Blood pressure may be elevated in the doctor's office due to what we generally call 'white coat effect.' Because of this, some people register low BP while at home but high BP in the doctor's office. Her BP is not too low though. I will just advise her to remain well hydrated (drink enough water) and observe. If BP remains low, see the doctor for evaluation. Also, she should take her anti-diabetic drug as prescribed and see the doctor for regular checks.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mbuomboh Veranso
