Hello welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.
First of all I will give you when iit's called diabetes.

1. FBS >126
2. PP2BS >200
3 . HBA1c >6.5.(3 monthly average blood sugar levels)
Your father has just borderine increased Fasting levels. But only 1 report is not enough. Post meal report and HBA1c reports are also important.

1.At present aggressive treatment is not required for diabetes. First do your FBS, PP2BS AND HBA1c report and repeat them every 3 monthly.

2 . Your doctor will start medicines if the reports will be high. At present with strict diet control and regular brisk walking for 1 hour is enough to control sugar levels at present.

3.longterm diabetes will damage kidney, heart and eyes. So kindly check them on regular intervals.
Thank you.
Have a nice day
