Suggest Treatment For Depression

I have been on effexor for years. I went to a neuro pycholgist for one reason and found that my depression is worse than I knew. He said it feels normal for me. Normal is not me. I lie to myself alot on how I feel. I am having a melt down today. I just start counseling 2 months ago, and cannot get into a psychiatrist until middle of Aug. I know I need something more than the effexor to maintain my sanity. Welibutron did not mix well for me. Any other suggestions for my MD to try until I get to the psyschiatrist?

Hello
Effexor has stopped working for you.
Wellbutrin did not suit you.
I would suggest some drugs which might help in addition to effexor.
Lyrica-is a good anti anxiety drug.
Seroquel- can be helpful in anxiety and depression.
Lithium- a mood stabiliser which can help in poorly responding depression.

You can discuss this with your doctor as all are prescription drug.

Thanks.
