But, my period this month is now 4 days late due to stress and etc so now I am expected to be on my period the day of my wedding. I m a type one diabetec and the only thing that works perfect on my body are my periods so I dont want to take birth control! Hello,

Norethisterone 5 mg (Primolut N) is the pill that can delay your periods. It prevents shedding of the lining of the uterus, thus prevents menstruation. You can take up to 20 pills of this medicine and can expect menstruation after 2-3 days of stopping the pill. You have to start this medicine 3 days prior to your expected date of periods. So if you start it on 25th or 26th April, you will be protected from menstruation on your wedding day.

However, I should point out that these medicines are not contraceptive pills and they do not prevent pregnancy. So if you are not planning pregnancy now, use condoms for contraception.

I hope this information helps. Thank you for choosing HealthcareMagic. I wish you happy wedding and very beautiful married life!

Best,
Dr. Viraj Shah
