Suggest Treatment For Degenerative Disc Disease

I was just to a neurologist today for a workup. About 10 yrs ago was diagnosed with DDD, buldging disc and spinal stenosis. I elected not to have the laminectomy. Apparently that has caught up with me. Today insted of them setting me up for an MRI i was told would have go get a CT myelogram because of all the hardware in my feet. What are real risks of this test? Also what are risks of being paralyzed afted the operation? Thx so much! K

After going through your query query I concluded that you have degenerative disc disease for many years. They are sending you for CT myelography as MRI can not be done due to much hardware in your foot.
There are radiation risk and infection risk with the investigation. Chances of paralysis after are there,but rare. You can discuss with your doctor about it. Hope I have answered your query.
