Suggest Treatment For Deep Venous Thrombosis

My son had an operation on his knee and now has developed severe DVT. A 5 cm concreted area. He has been told there is nothing they can do and he will have to live with it!! The accident happened on 10 June and operation about a month later. Surely there is something that can be done. He is taking Xarelto but after a month the DVT has not changed. Yvonne YYYY@YYYY
